The NCD team took the staff through the medical check process starting with the measurement of height, waist, weight, sugar level, blood pressure and counselling.
Officers that were diagnosed with sugar level in the body and have signs of hypertension were thoroughly counselled and referred for further medical checks at the National Referral Hospital.
It was a successful two days as most staff turned up to undertake their medical checks. The MFMR Executive and Management thanked every staff for responding positively to the call and be part of this wider campaign for a healthy work force within the government ministries and agencies.
Going forward after this medical check, the Ministry will be implementing its “No Pain, No Gain” Exercise & Sports Regime to maintain health and fitness for its staff.
