Inshore Management Section
The inshore management section is responsible for the development and implementation of management measures for inshore fisheries and marine resources. This includes fisheries management regimes for coastal communities engaging in resource management and marine species of special interest. The targeted marine species of interest are those harvested for commercial utilization and nationally or globally recognized as endangered. Management plan frameworks or regulations created are to ensure species are sustainably harvested in the wild and done in accordance to agreed international measure where appropriate. The section works in collaboration with the Policy and Planning division for inshore fisheries regulation, policies, strategies and other related frameworks both nationally and regionally.
